Electronic Variable Speed Wood Lathe - WL-46A

The WL-46A is built to a high standard and capable of turning a 462mm diameter bowl over the bed and the bed is long enough to turn a 1194mm table leg or spindle. All the major castings are made up of thick section cast iron which gives a very solid feel to the lathe and guarantees a vibration-free experience in most applications.

Power is provided by a 1.5kW / 2hp motor driving the spindle through a pair of pulleys and controlled by a variable speed control situated at front of the head. The low speed range provides plenty of torque for the big turning jobs whilst the high speed range allows the necessary adequate speeds for smaller components that's required for finishing.

The front panel of the head has a digital rpm speed indicator, a safety on/off switch, a forward & reversing switch and an access panel for changing the belt pulley positions. Includes four prong drive centre, revolving tail centre, tool rest & faceplate.
