Surface preparation:
1. Surface preparation is critical to a good ground when welding. Be certain that a "bare metal" area is cleared for attachment of the Magswitch Ground Clamp. Failure to do so could result in an arc situation.
2. Magswitch Ground Clamp works only with ferrous metals.

To attach clamp:
1. Be sure magnet is in the "OFF" position. Works on pipe or flat surface.
2. Be sure surface is bare steel - clear away any debris.
3. Place clamp to surface. Turn Magswitch knob clockwise to "ON" position - a full 185º degrees.

To remove clamp:
1. Turn Magswitch knob to the "OFF" position by rotating counterclockwise.
2. Wipe away debris from the clamp.
