Currently we are one of the largest stockists and suppliers of machine tools, sheet metal and fabrication equipment in Australia. We aim to serve all machinery needs throughout Australia.
With our head office and warehouse located in Sydney, and supply branches and agencies in all major capitals.

CNC Lathes:
Every CNC machine that arrives from Doosan and Hartford has a thorough pre-delivery inspection check prior to shipment to our customers. Each machine is tested for at least 24 hours ensuring all features are functioning correctly. Our price includes delivery, installation and commissioning as well as operator and programmer training.

Our team of service engineers will ensure that your machine is always available for production. To assist help them, we have over 10,000 factory spare parts at our head office in Northmead, NSW. If we do not have the parts, they can be located from the main factories in South Korea and Taiwan.

All the best selling machines in the Doosan range are available on an ex-stock basis but should we not have a machine to your exact requirements available, we can locate machines from the factories within 4 to 6 weeks.

Trained technical staff thoroughly check every shipment to ensure quality and reliability. With a fully equipped workshop available for modifications and pre-delivery testing.

Training
Our specialist applications & training teams offer complete operator training programmes as a part of a machine sale or to suit specific customer requirements. A full range of training programmes are available starting with the basic introduction course running up to a more advanced course.

Parts
We carry one of the largest stock of spare parts for our HAFCO machinery in the country. We have a dedicated service team whose sole job is to assist you with your spare parts needs for now and in the future.

History

History

1930 Hare & Forbes was established by John Edward Hare & Henry Forbes at Redfern, NSW

1949 Hare & Forbes moved to a new and larger showroom at Parramatta, NSW

1989 Hare & Forbes Brisbane branch opened at Woolloongabba

1994 Brisbane branch moved into a larger showroom at Macgregor

2000 Sydney head office moved from their Parramatta location to a new super showroom at "The Junction Complex" Northmead, with over 4000m2 of display under one roof, along with the new business name of Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse

2001 Sydney warehouse was purchased at Briens Road, Northmead to meet the expansion of handling, testing, quality control & workshop facilities

2002 Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse acquired Herless Machinery, the largest machine tool company in Melbourne, this acquisition also included a branch in Perth

2004 Brisbane branch again moved into a new and larger 4200m2 showroom & warehouse, centrally located at Coopers Plains

2005 Perth branch expanded into a larger 1000m2 showroom located at Belmont

2006 Melbourne branch moves into a larger showroom & warehouse to meet the expansion of handling, testing, quality control & workshop facilities in the industrial area of Dandenong

2008 Hare & Forbes Machineryhouse launched the website www.machineryhouse.com.au which includes:

2012 Sydney warehouse moves closer to its showroom & into a large 4500 square metre warehouse with new storage facilities to meet the expansion of Handling, Testing, Quality control, Quicker despatches & Pick ups.

2014 Brisbane branch again moved into a new and larger 3700m2 showroom across the road at 625 Boundary Road Coopers Plains, whilst maintaining there current building as a 4200m2 warehouse.
