The Role
As our Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a key role at Head Office as a part of our Accounts team. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be part of a fast-paced environment focusing on the day to day maintenance of various accounts payable functions. This role would suit a proactive, organised, self-starter, who is able to work autonomously and enjoys being part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities
• Coding and entry of invoices into the general ledger, ensuring that internal approvals etc are followed.
• Matching purchase orders and processing invoices.
• Identifying invoice errors and processing supplier claims or credits.
• Processing employee expense reimbursements.
• Maintaining and reconciling petty cash.
• Analysis of GST components on corporate credit cards, and GL coding of transactions.
• Reconcile monthly credit card statements.
• Reconcile supplier statements including the statements for expenses and local stock.
• Respond to external and internal enquiries.
• Provide analysis for / and process freight invoices.
• Provide back up for EFT payment / cheque runs.

To be considered for this role you must have
• Four (4) years’ experience in a similar role.
• Advanced customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Demonstrated time management skills & ability to multi-task.
• Individual & group problem solving skills.

Additional Skills
Experience with the Pronto ERP system would be an advantage.
Some knowledge of Accounts Receivable would be highly regarded.

The Role
The ideal candidate will be trade-certified, with a restricted ticket and experience in a similar role. In addition to this, you will possess the following characteristics:

- Experience with Industrial Machinery
- Australian Electrical Fitter trade certificate.
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot faults and establish repair options.
- Proven ability to carry out repair options quickly and efficiently
- Ability to machine and manufacture minor components
- Sound knowledge and experience in servicing electro-mechanical assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and drawings
- Knowledge and experience in machine tool alignments and accuracy
- Knowledge and experience in hydraulics
- Current drivers licence

Electrical knowledge, plus experience with electronics and PLCs would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be confident in the use of computers, and willing to adopt a flexible approach to working hours when required.
